Volunteer research assistants needed for fall 2019

Dr. Lucy Lee, UFV’s Dean of Science is hiring for the position of volunteer research assistants in her cell culture lab on campus for this fall. This is a volunteer position with flexible hours (approximately 2-3 hours a week). You will be assisting in a research project that is looking at the biological effects of neonicitinoids, commonly used pesticides, on fish cell lines.

If you are a second- or third-year student wishing to get involved with research, this is a great opportunity for you! You will be able to gain valuable laboratory experience that looks great on your CV and professional school applications.

Many of Lucy’s research assistants have gone on to medical, dental and veterinary schools. Others have gone on to work in industry while many have chosen the academic route and gone to graduate school.
